The NICoE provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary clinical evaluation; patient and family-focused intervention; treatment initiation; and individualized treatment planning. Patient evaluations may include a combination of traditional and complementary alternative medicine modalities, including:

- Internal medicine
- Physical medicine/ Integrative Pain Management
- Neurology
- Neuro-imaging
- Neuropsychology

In addition to the high-tech approach taken by providers, the interdisciplinary care teams also provide a high-touch, patient-oriented experience. The NICoE features a holistic approach that evaluates and seeks to nurture the service member’s mind, body and spirit, facilitating the restoration of functionality to the highest possible level. The NICoE’s unique approach places an emphasis on mindfulness-based recovery and rehabilitation, with an ultimate goal of providing education and skills that allow the service members and families to be in control of their lives.
