Due to the high demand for CON 170, Fundamentals of Cost and Price Analysis, DAU is surging its capacity by offering a CON 170 Equivalency Exam, CON 170E which may be taken in lieu of the classroom course. CON 170E, Fundamentals of Cost and Price Analysis- Equivalency Exam is now currently available in ACQTAS at https://www.atrrs.army.mil/channels/acqtas/ for student registration. Students who pass this optional exam will not be required to take the CON 170 classroom course.
Exams are offered at the main DAU Campuses and some DAU Satellite Locations. The exam is closed book and is proctored by a DAU instructor. Students who take this exam must achieve a score of 80% or above to pass. The first exams are scheduled to be administered in January 2012.
This exam is designed for students who require Level II Certification in
Contracting and need CON 170 as a prerequisite for CON 270. Students who
need CON 170 for Level I Certification in Contracting should not take CON
170E and should take the classroom course instead.
