Rheumatology is a subspecialty of Internal Medicine concerning the diagnosis and treatment of systemic inflammatory conditions including arthritis, autoimmune diseases, and disorders of connective tissue. Common traits of these diseases are inflammation and/or deterioration of connective tissue, joints or muscle. In some instances other body systems may be involved.

Rheumatologists and clinic staff will work with patients and family members to provide education about these diseases and their treatments.
