As your pregnancy progresses, your doctor may determine that you and baby need special medical attention. You may be referred to our Prenatal Assessment Center that accepts high risk pregnancies from all service branches in the National Capital Region and throughout the world.

When you arrive, your and your baby's health status will be assessed. Special conditions will be diagnosed, treated, and monitored to ensure the safest and healthiest delivery.

Serving you and your baby with...
Prenatal diagnosis: ultrasound, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, percutanious umbilical blood sampling, fetal echocardiograms and other procedures.

Prenatal assessment: preconceptual/high risk pregnancy counseling, ultrasounds and other technologies.

Monitoring of high risk pregnancies: non stress tests, amniotic fluid indices, and biophysical profiles, evaluations for preeclampsia, diabetic management, as well as other complex maternal conditions.

This is a 3-D image of a baby in-utero. It is produced by a 4-Dimensional ultrasound machine, a state-of-the-art diagnostic tool. The lifelike image helps your doctor to understand your baby's development. The "4-D" is also exciting for parents who are able to see what their child looks like before birth.
