Term and Temporary Appointments

The Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP) can provide assistive technology and services for employees with disabilities serving term and temporary appointments.  This includes individuals participating in programs such as the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) and Pathways.  The individual to be accommodated must be appointed to a position in the Department of Defense (DoD) or a CAP partner agency.

CAP’s evaluation process may differ from DoD or partner agencies, which are ultimately responsible for providing accommodations.  CAP will only consider providing accommodations that we determine to be reasonable and appropriate.  For term and temporary appointments, how long it will take to successfully implement a solution and the duration of the appointment may be considered.  All accommodations are considered on a case by case basis.
