The Morris Swett Technical Library is a mission oriented activity serving the students, staff and faculty of the US Army Fires Center of Excellence (FCOE), Fort Sill, OK. About The Library

Student Registration for Library Account:

Morris Swett Library belongs to the Army’s General Library Information System (GLIS), serving libraries in the US, Europe and Asia. If you have borrowed materials from one of the GLIS libraries in the past, you are already registered and our staff will change your location to borrow from Morris Swett Library. Students new to the Army or those who have not borrowed from Army libraries in the past will need to stop by the library and establish a new GLIS library account. Present your valid DOD CAC, which will serve as your library card. Staff will input information and you will be asked to provide your military email address and PIN. Once established, you will be able to manage your account online by renewing borrowed materials, placing holds, and accessing databases 24/7.


Borrowing Policy:

The loan period is 3 weeks for books, videos and audiobooks. For renewals, login to your library account, renew while in the library, or call the library at (580)442-4525/4477. Overdue notices are sent by email and your Battery contacted prior to graduation if overdue notices are ignored. In accordance with AR 735-17, compensation must be made for lost or damaged materials. Contact the circulation desk for details.


Services:

The library has 24 networked computers (NIPRNET). Electrical outlets are located throughout the library for laptops.

Free commercial WI-FI is available.

Printing is limited to students. See posted signs near computers or ask circulation desk staff for details.

Fax service is available.

Library orientations are provided to classes, staff/faculty and individuals on request. Please call (580) 442-4525/4477 to schedule.

A drop-box is located outside the main entrance of the library for return of materials when the library is closed.
