PEO PERSPECTIVE OCTOBER 2016

It’s hard to believe we’ve said goodbye to summer and we are entering a new fiscal year! I’m proud of the accomplishments that the PEO EIS team has achieved over the past year. Our exemplary workforce continues to deliver critical products and services to the Soldiers despite continuing budget uncertainty and the challenges of changing mission focus and continued tensions throughout the world. Despite the changing political landscape and continuing resolution, we will continue the important work on network modernization, defense business systems, enterprise resource planning systems, satellite communications, and enterprise services to support every Soldier, every day, everywhere as we kick off fiscal year 2016.

Looking ahead, the observance of Hispanic American Heritage Month continues through October 15. The contributions of our Hispanic American Soldiers, Civilians and contractors are invaluable to our mission, and we owe a debt of gratitude to these great Americans. Check out our website and social media sites for weekly Workforce Spotlights featuring talented and amazing members of PEO EIS’ Hispanic American workforce in celebration of this month of observance.

The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) conference will take place at the Washington Convention Center October 3-5. I’m pleased to announce that our leadership will be participating in several significant panels at AUSA this year: Mr. Tom Neff, Product Director Enterprise Services, will join a Small Business panel October 4; Mr. Victor Hernandez, Program Management Director, represents EIS on the Innovation in Federal IT Acquisition panel October 5; and Mr. Manish Patel, PEO EIS CIO, will participate in the Cyber media roundtable with C4ISRNET and in the Network Modernization panel with other senior Army and DOD leaders October 5.
