Army Continuing Education System
The Army Continuing Education System (ACES) Division, Directorate of Human Resources, provides a wide range of educational opportunities, both academic and nonacademic, as well as training opportunities, to members of the Fort Knox community. To enhance educational achievement among Soldiers, the ACES Division offers programs to meet all needs, from basic skills to post-graduate programs. To enhance MOS Skills, Soldiers can use training programs/materials through the Post Learning Center (LC). This cross-section of opportunity reflects the goal of the education system: give all Soldiers a chance to recognize and achieve their highest educational potential and maintain training readiness.
The Army recognizes that continuing education is voluntary and depends on individual goals. In support of its mission and that of the total Army, ACES supports the following five goals:
- Develop confident, competent leaders
- Support the enlistment, retention, and transition of Soldiers
- Provide self-development opportunities for Soldiers and adult family members
- Provide self-development opportunities for Department of Army Civilians
- Provide self-development opportunities for Department of Army ACES professional and support staff
The Fort Knox Education Center area of responsibility includes Kentucky counties East of and including Breckinridge, Grayson, Edmonson, Warren and Allen.
Soldiers and their Family Members, civilian employees, and other members of the Fort Knox Community living within these counties are serviced by the Fort Knox Education Center.
