  • Behavioral Health unit manager receives Department of Defense Patriot Award

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Wyoming Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve announced Lisa Petersen, Wyoming Department of Health, K-MAT Unit Manager in the Behavioral Health Division, was presented the Patriot Award.

Peterson was nominated by Dillion Johnson, a K-MAT unit member who also serves as a sergeant in the Wyoming Army National Guard Medical Detachment. The award is from the Office of the Secretary of Defense and recognizes Lisa “for Contributing to National Security and Protecting Liberty and Freedom by Supporting Employee Participation in America's National Guard and Reserve Force."

When asked why he nominated her for this award, Dillion said, “Lisa is completely understanding of when I am called to my military job and allows me the time off with hardly a second thought. She is fully supportive and makes it easy to balance both jobs.” Congratulations Lisa!
