Concord, N.H. (April 8, 2016) New Hampshire Employer
Support of the Guard and Reserve Chair Dave Quinn and The State’s Adjutant
General, Maj. Gen. William Redell announced today it will host a series of
Bosslifts beginning in May and continuing through September.
“Last year, the New
Hampshire Committee hosted one hundred
and twenty employers who were directly nominated by their service member
employees” Said State Chairman David Quinn
The New Hampshire Air National Guard’s 157th Air Refueling Wing
will host eight such Bosslifts with their KC135 Refuelers stationed at Pease
Air National Guard Base in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Employers will have an
opportunity to witness the work of the Air National Guard first hand as they
will participate in a refueling mission and tour the operation facility.
Not to be outdone by their Air Guard counterparts, the New
Hampshire Army National Guard will schedule nine orientation flights on
Blackhawk Helicopters of the 238th GSAB (Air Ambulance) and the 249th LUH (Air
Ambulance) both stationed in Concord, NH.
Quinn Said “This very
robust Bosslift program will give employers the full spectrum of the depth of
professionalism and commitment our Guard Members and Reservists have every day
and the value they bring to the civilian workforce”
ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture
in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of
members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States. ESGR
facilitates and promotes a cooperative culture of employer support for National
Guard and Reserve service by developing and advocating mutually beneficial
initiatives, recognizing outstanding employer support, increasing awareness of
applicable laws and policies, resolving potential conflicts between employers
and their service members, and acting as the employers’ principal advocate
within Department of Defense. Paramount
to ESGR's mission is encouraging employment of Guardsmen and Reservists who
bring integrity, global perspective and proven leadership to the civilian
workforce.
