LEOMINSTER, Mass.
– Scott Martin, Director of Public
Safety, Health Alliance Hospital, was presented with a Patriot Award July 21 by
Tony Ingrisano, Area Chair for the Massachusetts Employer Support of the Guard
and Reserve in recognition of extraordinary support of his employees serving in
the Guard and Reserve. Martin was nominated by 2nd Lt. Josh Benner, Massachusetts
Army National Guard.
“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize
individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their
employees, who like the citizen warriors before them have answered their
nation’s call to serve,” said Ingrisano. “Supportive supervisors are critical
to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve
units.”
“Several times, he has had to adjust things at the hospital
to accommodate my National Guard duties, but has never given me a hard time
about it.,” said Benner. “He understands that true patriotism comes with a cost
and he's never balked at paying that cost.”
Following the award presentation a Statement of Support was
signed to confirm the organization’s support for the men and women of the
National Guard and Reserve.
