LTC Robert M. Williams

LTC Robert Williams assumed leadership of the U.S. Army’s Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) in July 2014. As the LMP Product Manager, he exercises centralized authority and control over one of the largest Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations in the U.S. Army and across the Army Materiel Command’s (AMC) national-level logistics environment.

LTC Williams enlisted in the Army as a Finance Specialist in 1993 and was commissioned as a Military Intelligence Officer through the Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia, in September 1996. Prior to joining the LMP, he most recently served as a Department of the Army System Coordinator while assigned to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology and was assigned to Army G-8 Program Analysis and Evaluation as an Acquisition Program Analyst.

Other previous assignments include: Platoon Leader, B Company, 532nd Military Intelligence Battalion, Camp Humphreys, Korea; Battalion S4, followed by Technical Control and Analysis Element Chief, and later Commander, B Company, 314th Military Intelligence Battalion, Lackland AFB, Texas; Intelligence Plans Officer, 1st Brigade, 91st Division, Camp Parks, California; Assistant Product Manager, Tacticomp (including deployment to Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom), Army Space Program Office, Fort Belvoir, Virginia; and Operational Test Officer, Intelligence and Electronic Warfare Test Directorate, Fort Huachuca, Arizona.

LTC Williams’ awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with 4th Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal with 3rd Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement Medal with 2nd Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, and the Army Staff Identification Badge.

LTC Williams is a graduate of the Military Intelligence Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, and Command and General Staff College. He is a member of the Army Acquisition Corps and is Level III Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certified in Program Management. He holds a Bachelor of Science in General Studies from Columbus State University, a Master of Arts in Administration (with a concentration in Organizational Development) from the University of the Incarnate Word, and a Master of Science in Project Management from the Florida Institute of Technology.
