Command Sergeant Major Royce B. Manis assumed the duties of Command Sergeant Major at First Army Division East February 12, 2016, following his tour of duty as Command Sergeant Major for the 205th Infantry Brigade, Camp Atterbury, Indiana.
CSM Manis entered the Army on March 1989. He completed Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, GA.
CSM Manis’ previous assignments include: 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Savannah, Georgia; 5th Ranger Training Battalion, Dahlonega, Georgia; 1-503 (Air Assault), Camp Casey, Korea; 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Lewis, Washington; 3-505 PIR, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; 5-73 CAV, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; 3-4 CAV, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment (THE WOLFHOUNDS), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, the U.S. Army Parachute Team “The Golden Knights”, Ft Bragg, NC, and the 205th Infantry Brigade, Camp, Atterbury, Indiana.
