If you are scheduled to, or you have completed 180 days of continuous active service,
you are eligible to receive transition services. By using the information provided
at briefings and workshops, you will be well on your way to planning and preparing
for your transition from active duty. Congress has directed the military Services
to provide each transitioning service member timely transition services prior to
separation. Beginning the process before deployment or during deployment (should
time allow) will give you a head start on your preparation to transition back to
the civilian sector. You can
complete many of the transition requirements online at the 24/7 SFL-TAP Virtual
Center, at your convenience, or
schedule a briefing at your SFL-TAP Center. Following preseparation counseling,
you can use this website to receive the benefits of transition training and communicate
with a counselor.
