The Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Service at San Antonio Military Medical Center offers a broad range of clinical services and are staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of subject matter experts. They are experienced and certified in various fields to include Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Sleep Medicine, and Respiratory Therapy. Army, Air Force, and Civilian providers and staff are all under one roof in our new state-of-the-art facility within Brooke Army Medical Center. Additionally, our board-certified providers are active in training the next generation of physicians through close work and supervision of medical students, interns, residents and our own Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship program.

Pulmonary Medicine Clinic

The Pulmonary Clinic's broad scope of services include evaluations and treatment for all categories of pulmonary disease including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), adult cystic fibrosis, bronchiolitis, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, pneumonia, sarcoidosis, pulmonary vascular disease, pulmonary nodules, lung masses, lung cancer, and unexplained shortness of breath. We service members not only within the San Antonio area, but also function as a referral center for the entire DoD.

Sleep Medicine Clinic

The Sleep Medicine Clinic consists of two board-certified sleep medicine physicians trained to provide high-quality care for patients with sleep disorders. We offer a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment of a full range of sleep disturbances and disorders. The Sleep Medicine Clinic also serves as the secondary academic training location for a fully-accredited sleep medicine fellowship training program.
