CSM Jeffrey D. Sweezer

Command Sergeant Major

Command Sgt. Maj. Jeffrey D. Sweezer became the Senior Enlisted Advisor of the command on November 20, 2015. He is a native of Kansas.

After entering the U.S. Army in August of 1988, Command Sergeant Major Sweezer conducted Infantry One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia. Since then, has served in a variety of Infantry assignments to include: 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia (while assigned to this unit, CSM Sweezer participated in Operation Just Cause conducting a low level parachute assault on Tocu-men International Airport); 1st Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia; NCO Academy, Fort Hood, Texas; 52nd IN ABN (LRS), Fort Hood, Texas (where he competed in the 1994 Air Assault Competition and the 1995 Best Ranger Competition); 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment; 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry, Fort Lewis, WA;. 2nd Battalion, 58th Infantry, Fort Benning, Georgia; HHC, A & C Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry, Fort Lewis, WA.

He has held leadership positions as a Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Senior Drill Sergeant, Rifle Company and HHC First Sergeant, Battalion and Brigade Operations Sergeant Major and Command Sergeant Major. Deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom OIF III as HHC 1SG with 1-5 IN, 1/25th ID. Deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) 09-11 with 5/2 ID (SBCT) as the CSM of the Brigade Special Troops Battalion (BSTB). CSM for 4-9 IN "Manchu's", 4/2 ID (SBCT); CSM 2-35 IN, 3BCT and 2/25 (SBCT), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

His military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course; Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course and Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course. Other schools and courses include Airborne School; Ranger Indoctrination Program; Scout Swimmer Course; Assault Climber Course; Combat Lifesaver Course; Pre-Ranger Course; Instructor Training Course; Army Sniper School; Pathfinder Course; Jumpmaster Course; Air Assault School (Distinguished Honor Graduate); Ranger Orientation Program; Airlift Planners Course; Combined Services Support Program; Unit Movement Officer Course; Drill Sergeant School (Commandant's List); Master Fitness Trainer Course; Long Range Surveillance Leaders Course; USASMA First Sergeant's Course, Ranger Course, AFSNCOA (SGM Academy), Manpower and Force Management Course, BN and BDE Pre-Command Courses and the Executive Leaders Course.
