32nd Annual California Coastal Cleanup Day
Saturday, September 17, 2016
9am-Noon
Be part of California’s largest volunteer event! Come together to celebrate and share in the appreciation of California’s fabulous coast and waterways.
Every year, on the third Saturday of September, volunteers all over the world converge on beaches, shorelines and inland waterways to pick up trash and remove dangerous debris. Considered the largest marine-related volunteer event in the world, Coastal Cleanup Day is a wonderful opportunity to lend a hand and make a significant difference.
In 2015, over 50 clean-up sites in Marin County were in need of volunteer assistance. It’s easy to participate – just check out the interactive map below to find a cleanup site near you. Help us reduce waste on Coastal Cleanup Day by bringing a bucket or reusable bag and reusable gloves with you for the Cleanup. If you don’t have them or forget, don’t worry! The Site Captains at your cleanup will have supplies on hand.
Please print out the Waiver form in English or Spanish and bring it with you to the cleanup site of your choice on September 17, 2016.
All Marin County Coastal Cleanup Day volunteers are invited to a free
BBQ immediately following the event at the Bay Model Visitor Center in Sausalito (Noon – 2:00 pm), sponsored by the Sausalito Lions Club and the Bay Model Alliance. Door Prizes and fun!
