Diversity in the AF

"The greatest strength of our Air Force is our Airmen! The greatest strength of our Airmen is their diversity! Each of them comes from a different background, a different family experience and a different social experience. Each brings a different set of skills and a unique perspective to the team. We don't just celebrate diversity... we embrace it!"
-- Gen. Mark A. Welsh, Air Force Chief of Staff

"Across the service, we represent a broad range of diverse missions, family situations, ethnicities, faiths, races and educational backgrounds. Yet together, this rich tapestry forms the world's finest Air Force, drawn from the best talent that America has to offer."
-- Michael B. Donley, Secretary of the Air Force

Diversity

The Air Force has always valued diversity, even calling it a military necessity. Secretary of the Air Force Michael Donley -- who also serves as the Air Force's Chief Diversity Officer -- has said that, "Across the service, we represent a broad range of diverse missions, family situations, ethnicities, faiths, races and educational backgrounds. Yet, together, this rich tapestry forms the world's finest Air Force, drawn from the best talent that America has to offer."

Air Combat Command is proud that its workforce is a vital part of that tapestry.
