About DoD Waveform Compliance & Certification

The overarching functions for the Waveform Assessments Division are:

• Conduct technical analysis and assessments of waveforms and Waveform Communications Products (WCPs).
• Assist the JTNC Board of Directors (BoD) by providing recommendations to the appropriate acquisition authority for waveforms and WCPs that are developed both under and outside of the Defense Acquisition System (DAS) procedures.
• Promote the DoD's new acquisition and modernization policies that require the Services to better address interoperability, security, and affordability in their wireless communications capabilities requirements.
• Conduct Software Communications Architecture (SCA) and Application Program Interface (API) Conformance Evaluations.
