Fleet Readiness Directorate

As SPAWAR's designated focal point to the fleet, the Fleet Readiness Directorate (FRD) installs, supports and modernizes the Navy's command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) hardware and systems.

Based in San Diego, with team members located around the world close to the waterfront, the FRD exists to support the fleet's immediate and future C4I readiness issues. The FRD puts the warfighter first to ensure C4I capabilities are ready today and relevant in the future.

By providing a single point of contact to the fleet for SPAWAR products - and through proactive engagement with program offices, installation teams and maintenance teams - the FRD improves installation coordination and fleet response. Our team of subject matter experts works across product lines and platforms to provide an integrated C4I perspective. We go beyond providing specific systems to delivering a holistic warfighting capability.
