Post-Deployment Health Reassessment

Three to six months after return, the Post-Deployment Health Reassessment (PDHRA) is used to identify and address health concerns that have emerged since deployment. The PDHRA uses DD Form 2900 and is required for all redeployed individuals who completed DD Form 2796 (PDHA) in accordance with the guidance in DoDI 6490.03.

The screening includes a review of each deployer’s current physical health, mental health or psychosocial issues commonly associated with deployments, special medications taken during the deployment, possible deployment-related occupational/environmental exposures, and deployment-related health concerns.
