Georgia Tech SP2 (Strategic prioritization and planning) tool provides a collaborative tool for Multi-Attribute Decision Making (MADM). SP2 is tailored for different objectives, and provides a mathematically driven way to prioritize goals, budgets, technologies, etc. Built around a collaborative simulation at the Georgia Tech location, participants can independently vote on the highest priorities and weight goals to arrive at optimal solutions.
One of the largest applications of the model was for the Aerospace Industry. 45 top engineers and scientists from NASA got together to prioritize the technology investments needed for the Aerospace mission. The result was a prioritized list of strategic technology investments for 450 different technologies.
