Bill Wise retires after 35 years of service to the nation
GALVESTON, Texas (June 15, 2015) – William “Bill” Wise, chief of the USACE Galveston District’s Project Management Branch, retired from the federal government in June after 35 years of service to the nation. A retirement ceremony was held at the district’s headquarters building in Galveston, Texas, June 15, 2015. Staff wore maroon in honor of Wise’s alma mater, Texas A&M University.

GALVESTON, Texas (Jan. 15, 2014) – Robert Howell, deputy chief of the USACE Galveston District’s Engineering and Construction Division, retired Jan. 15 after 30 years of dedicated service to the nation. A retirement ceremony was held in Howell’s honor.

GALVESTON, Texas (Jan. 13, 2014) – John Machol, an operations manager with the USACE Galveston District’s Navigation Branch, retired Jan. 13 after 28 years of dedicated service to the nation. A retirement ceremony was held in Machol’s honor at the district’s headquarter building in Galveston, Texas.
Joyce Gonzales Retirement
USACE Galveston’s Joyce Gonzales retires after 28 years of service
GALVESTON, Texas – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District’s Joyce Gonzales, a member of the district’s Resource Management Office, retired Jan. 10, 2014, after 28 years of federal service. A retirement ceremony was held in Gonzales’ honor Jan. 9 to commemorate her dedicated service to the nation.

USACE Galveston's Robert Van Hook retires after 42 years of federal service
GALVESTON, Texas (Dec. 19, 2013) – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District’s Robert Van Hook, a member of the district’s Planning Section, retires after 42 years of dedicated federal service. Van Hook served 41 of those years with the Galveston District. A retirement ceremony was held in Van Hook’s honor Dec. 19, 2013, at the district’s headquarters building in Galveston, Texas.
