September 7, 2016 Update:  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, in partnership with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will be holding a public information session to discuss the Hashamomuck Cove Coastal Storm Risk Management Feasibly Study. Details concerning the public information session are as follows:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District announces the availability of the Draft Integrated Feasibility Report & Environmental Assessment for the Hashamomuck Cove, New York, Coastal Storm Risk Management Feasibility Study. With the passage of the Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief Appropriations Act of 2013 (Public Law 113-2), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been given the authority and funding to complete ongoing coastal storm damage risk reduction projects and studies in the Northeast. The available documents were prepared to identify, evaluate, and disclose all associated impacts that would result from the proposed action. The 30 day comment period will end on September 30, 2016.
