The mission of the Vicksburg District Contracting Office is:

• To provide the Vicksburg District and the Mississippi Valley Division a professional and highly qualified acquisition work force.
• To utilize the most effective and efficient acquisition procedures for all the MVK/MVD contracting requirements. Always focusing on Procurement Integrity and Attention to Detail.
• To provide responsive and effective contracting support of vital supplies, services and construction to the Vicksburg District and the Mississippi Valley Division, in a manner that supports the OPLAN and direct mission of the command.
• To build the bench and level of confidence with our ability to execute contracting requirements.
