The Freedom of Information Act establishes the public's right to request existing records from the Federal Government. Any "person" can file a FOIA request, including citizens, foreign nationals, organizations, universities, businesses, and state and local governments.
You can make a FOIA request by sending an email request or filling out this FOIA request form and faxing it to (503) 808-4526, or mailing to:
Freedom of Information Act Officer, CENWP-OC
Portland District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
PO Box 2946
Portland, OR 97208-2946
Define as specifically as possible what records you are requesting and include a "willingness to pay" statement. You will receive a response within the twenty (20) working-day requirement of the Act, or the FOIA Office will contact you with a request for additional time and a description of any issues impacting fulfillment of your request. For FOIA questions or for a status update on a request, email the FOIA officer or call (503) 808-4519.
