Attention all boaters- remember to be safe at all times while on the lake. Be sure that you have enough life jackets for persons aboard, and that they are a proper fit as well. Check the operation of your boat before launching;  make sure that you have plenty of fuel and oil, check your engine for starting operations, check your steering (make sure that your motor and prop move in the direction that your steering), check your horn, check your navigation lights, check your battery for a full charge . Let someone know where you are going in case of accident; leave a plan with a relative or friend. Be sure that you have all safety equipment; fire extinguisher, throw ring or pillow, air horn, kill switch, a paddle, and most importantly life jackets. Enjoy your time, but do it safely.
