Harry S. Truman Visitor Center

The Harry S. Truman Visitor Center is a great place to get information about recreational opportunities at Truman Lake: camping, boating, fishing, hunting, swimming, hiking, birding, water sports.... The opportunities are endless. The Visitor Center opens for the 2016 season on March 15.

Berry Bend Equestrian Trails

Riders enjoy Berry Bend Equestrian trails. Berry Bend Equestrian Park is located approximately 8 miles west of Warsaw, MO off Hwy. Z. Equestrian camping, as well as day riding, is available.

Pheonix, a bald eagle from Dickerson Park Zoo, is the star of Truman Lake's annual Eagle Day. The event is held in early to mid-January at the Visitor Center.

Harry S. Truman Lake is a great place to view magnificent bald eagles.

Bald eagles follow the migration of waterfowl through the Truman Lake area in winter. Additionally, there are many nesting pairs of eagles on Truman.
