SPAWAR Space Field Activity, located in northern Virginia, manages the Navy's interest and programs in space sensors and satellite communications working closely with the National Reconnaissance Office, other services, and other agencies.

VISION

To support the Joint and Navy Warfighter through the operationalization of National Space System Capabilities in alignment with the Chief of Naval Operations key tenets of Warfighting First, Operate Forward, and Be Ready.

MISSION

To provide Maritime Warfighter Knowledge, Acquisition Acumen, and Engineering Expertise to the National Reconnaissance Office in order to develop superior and affordable space systems in support of National, Joint, and Navy missions and operations.
