With Port Newark NJ in the background, Col. David Caldwell, Commander of the Army Corps' New York District aboard the Corps vessel MV Hayward addresses attendees during a September 2016 Harbor Inspection.  The inspection was conducted in the Port District which encompasses a 25-mile radius of the Statue of Liberty that includes a system of navigable waterways in the estuary where several USACE projects and studies are ongoing.
New York District took to the waters within the New York Harbor and hosted a Partner Harbor Inspection aboard the Army Corps vessel MV Hayward.
