Within the Army, Internal Review supports the local Commander and his staff by improving programs and operations through independent analytical reviews and studies. The resident Internal Review Office, located in Dallas, is a national asset that supports both the Southwestern Division and the South Pacific Division. In addition to providing oversight of the Districts' internal review programs, this office is the focal point of Division action on all external audit activity conducted by the General Accounting Office, Army Audit Agency, and the Department of Defense Inspector General.
