POOL LIMITS BASED ON TAILWATERSome of the pool limits for a project may be based on the tailwater levels for that project. That means that the depth, or elevation, of the water's surface on the downstream side of the project controls the amount of water retained in the pool. The pool limits for Lock and Dam # 13 at Trimble are based on the tailwater when the project is operating at certain flow-rates. The tailwater levels and the corresponding pool limits are given below:
