NWO-2014-00597-WEH-2 - 8/29/2016: Sandy Pointe Lake Development LLC - Additional impacts have been added to the project triggering another public notice. The additional impacts are described in the description below.
“The purposed project includes the installation of a stop log weir structure located at 41.06945oN, -96.34745oW. The structure is to prevent flood waters from Salt Creek backing up and introducing invasive fish species into the lake. In addition to the weir structure, type B rock riprap breakwaters will be installed to prevent degradation of some shorelines. The breakwaters will also act as protection for establishing wetland on the north, east, and south end of the lake. This will result in an additional 0.1308 acre of open water.”

NWO-2016-00812-WEH - 7/13/2016: Warren Pony Truss Bridge - The proposed project will include bridge replacement, bridge approach sections, road paving to tie in points, and channel improvements. The existing Warren Pony Truss three-span bridge will be removed and replaced with 2, 105-foot pre-stressed concrete NU girder bridges, and 1, 140-foot pre-stressed concrete NU girder bridge. Support will be provided through 2 piers approximately 29 feet tall within the outside margin of the bridge over Salt Creek.

NWO-2015-00077-WEH - 7/8/2016: Bluewater Residential Development - The proposed project has involved the construction of a 500-acre lakefront residential development that includes a nearly 225-acre man-made lake with platted single family residences. Prior to September 15, 2014, the site was an active sand and gravel pit site, owned by Lyman-Richey Sand & Gravel Company (LRSGC). And subsequently from September 15, 2014, to the present, ownership of the property is the Bluewater Development Corporation. The initial residential development construction activities began under the ownership of LRSGC. Recent lot sales have occurred to individual owners with new residential construction presently underway.
