**Chlorine leak in vicinity of Dow**

There is a chlorine leak in the vicinity of Dow. LDEQ responders are on the scene and will conduct air monitoring. A power outage was also reported in the vicinity. Residents in the area are advised to follow directions of local emergency officials concerning evacuations or sheltering in place. For information on traffic rerouting in the area, visit the DOTD website.

        Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation receives $60,000 grant from EPA

        The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is awarding $60,000 to the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation to help protect and restore urban waters in the New Orleans area. The grant will also support community revitalization and other local priorities.

          Jefferson Parish wins awards from the Water Environment Federation

          Jefferson Parish won several 2016 MS4 Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Awards gold certificates from the Water Environment Federation for the Innovation and Management of their Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) and going above and beyond regulatory requirements.
