On Sept 2, 2016, USACE joined elected officials and citizens to announce the release of the contract solicitation for the Absecon Island contract during an event on the boardwalk in Ventnor City, New Jersey. The project will complete the dune and berm system in southern Ventnor, Margate City, New Jersey and Longport, New Jersey.
