The final environmental assessment for the Columbia Stock Ranch Section 536 Ecosystem Restoration Project and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District’s Finding of No Significant Impact is available.

Columbia Stock Ranch Ecosystem Restoration Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Bonneville Power Administration are preparing to construct an ecosystem restoration project on the Columbia Stock Ranch to restore structure and function of floodplains to improve juvenile fish habitat. The Corps and BPA are meeting with members of the Deer Island Drainage Improvement Company, some of whom expressed concerns about the CSR project and its potential impacts. Meetings will take place in the Armstrong Room of the St. Helens Public Library, 375 S. 18th St., St. Helens, Oregon.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, is seeking public comments on the Draft Environmental Assessment for the Columbia Stock Ranch Ecosystem Restoration Project to restore hydrologic connectivity between the Columbia Stock Ranch project site and the Columbia River.

Draft EA for Western Snowy Plover Site Management Plan

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking public comments on the draft Environmental Assessment for the Western Snowy Plover Site Management Plan in Coos County, Oregon.

Final EA and FONSI: Oaks Bottom habitat restoration project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is making available a Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Oaks Bottom Habitat Restoration Project in Multnomah County, Oregon. The Corps proposes to restore a more natural tidal hydrologic connection between Oaks Bottom and the Lower Willamette River to improve fish and wildlife habitats and provide unhindered fish passage into and out of Oaks Bottom. Most importantly, this project would make Oaks Bottom habitat suitable and accessible to juvenile salmonids listed under the Endangered Species Act.

Final EA and FONSI: Trestle Bay Restoration Project

The proposed action, to implement a restoration project improving access to fish habitat in Trestle Bay, will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment and an environmental impact statement is not required. Restoring access to Trestle Bay will result in long term benefits for juvenile salmonids by improving access/egress to important shallow-water habitat.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District is seeking public comments on the Draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment for Oaks Bottom Section 206 Habitat Restoration Project in Multnomah County, Oregon.

This FONSI announces that the selected course of action to adaptively manage predation of Caspian terns in the lower Columbia River Estuary will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment, and an Environmental Impact Statement is not required.
