Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) Signup Opportunities in Vermont

Application Cutoff and associated Batching Deadline for 2013 are:

October 1, 2012 ---------->  December 21, 2012
November 15, 2012 ------>  February 15, 2013
February 15, 2013 -------->  April 19, 2013
April 1, 2013 --------------->  May 17, 2013

Batching deadline is the deadline that your application needs to be determined eligible and ranked.

NRCS Announces Funding to Address Water Quality in the Rock River Watershed and Missisquoi Bay Basin
 

VERMONT, May 8, 2012 - State Conservationist, Vicky M. Drew, announced the launch of two new funding sources aimed at improving water quality in Vermont: the Water Quality Initiative in the Rock River Watershed, and the America’s Great Outdoors Initiative in the Missisquoi Bay Basin.

Oil Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Pilot Announced
 

January 24, 2012 - The Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) in Vermont will be offering Oil Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) pilot through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). Sign up for this pilot will begin February 3, 2012 and end on June 11, 2012. This pilot provides assistace to producers who are required to comply with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations related to environmental damage from accidental on-farm oil spills. Announcement of Funding, Proposal Requirements, and Review Criteria for the General Wetlands Reserve Enhancement Program (General WREP) Fiscal Year 2012


January 19, 2012 - The USDA NRCS General WREP program is a component of WRP through which NRCS enters into agreements with eligible partners to target and leverage resources to carry out high-priority wetland protection, restoration, and enhancement activities and improve wildlife habitat on eligible lands. All proposals must be received on or before Friday, February 10, 2012.
