EOC update on behalf of the Commander as of 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1:
Tropical Storm Hermine is approaching the panhandle of Florida and will make landfall sometime tonight, possibly as a Category 1 Hurricane.  Currently the National Weather Service has forecast a strong outer band with possible tornadic activity to impact the Jacksonville area beginning around 1500 and lasting up to 4 hours.  Effective 1300 - COB today, COL Kirk has authorized Liberal leave for SAJ HQs in Jacksonville, North Florida Area Office, and the Palatka Office.  A personnel decision for tomorrow at these locations will be made later this afternoon.  If you have left prior to the personnel decision for tomorrow, please contact your supervisor after 1600 for status update.

The Gainesville Regulatory Office is authorized Liberal Leave 1 and 2 Sep, with tele-work encouraged.

The Panama City Regulatory Office has already been authorized Administrative Leave beginning at 1200 today.  Liberal Leave with tele-work encouraged is authorized for tomorrow, 2-Sep 2016.

There is no change to the status of Pensacola, Panama City, Tampa, and Sebring offices, which remain under Liberal Leave with tele-work encouraged today, 1 Sep 2016.

All other offices within SAJ are on normal duty hours or following normal office leave policies.
