NAN-2016-01236-EYR - 10/6/2016: The permit applicant, Citgo Holding Terminals, LLC, has requested Department of the Army authorization for continued 10-year maintenance dredging of the Ship Berth in the Arthur Kill at Citgo’s Linden facility at 4801 South Wood Avenue, City of Linden, Union County, New Jersey. Upland disposal of all resultant dredged material would be accomplished in accordance with all requirements of a State-issued Acceptable Use Determination. The stated purpose for the project is to maintain safe vessel navigational and mooring depths at the Ship Berth in the Arthur Kill at Citgo’s Linden facility which is utilized for transport and distribution of petroleum products. A previous DA Permit (NAN-1998-12300) issued to Citgo for 10-year maintenance dredging of the Linden facility’s Ship Berth expired on 26 April 2005.

NAN-2016-01075-ESW NAN-2016-01076-ESW NAN-2016-01077-ESW - 9/30/2016: The permit applicant, NY City Economic Development Corporation, has requested Department of the Army authorization to construct various ferry landing structures at multiple locations to expand the existing East River Ferry Service. The projects are located in the East River and Jamaica Bay, in the City of New York, in Queens, Kings, and New York Counties, New York. The stated purpose of this project is to expand the existing East River Ferry system to provide for an affordable and convenient transportation system, connecting residential areas to business districts and employment centers.

NAN-2016-00535-WOM - 8/29/2016: Maintenance dredging of approximately 21,750 cubic yards of sediment from the existing White’s Hudson River Marina in the Hudson River, with disposal of the resulting dredged material at a state-approved upland disposal site. Return flow to the waterway is anticipated.

NAN-2016-00587-WOM - 8/16/2016: The applicant, the Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation, has requested Department of the Army authorization for the discharge of fill material into waters of the United States to facilitate the installation of a sheet pile bulkhead around the Mamaroneck Jetty bulkhead to continue protection of two (2) existing outfall pipes, because the existing bulkhead is failing. The project site is in Mamaroneck Harbor of the Long Island Sound, in the Village of Mamaroneck, Westchester County, New York.

NAN-2016-00952-EYR - 8/10/2016: The permit applicant, Salt Lake Association, Inc., has requested Department of the Army authorization to perform dredging with ten-year maintenance with upland placement of all resultant dredged material. The project is located at the James Creek boat basin south of Sailor’s Needle Road in the Hamlet of Mattituck, Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York. A previous DA permit (NAN-2001-00342) issued to Salt Lake Association, Inc. for ten-year maintenance dredging of the James Creek boat basin with upland placement of all resultant dredged material expired on 25 March 2013. The stated purpose of this project is to remedy shoaling conditions to provide safe navigation for recreational marine vessels transiting and mooring at the James Creek boat basin.
