Welcome to the Contracting Office Web site. We are responsible for supporting the District's mission by soliciting quality contractors that can provide supplies, services and construction to accomplish the District's mission in accordance with Federal, DoD, Army, and Corps of Engineers Acquisition rules, regulations and guidance.
We issue contracts in support of the District’s mission to administer Federal water resource development programs in large portions of Iowa and Illinois and smaller portions of Wisconsin, Missouri, and Minnesota. We contract for supplies, services, and construction that are required within the District boundaries. The area covers 78,318 square miles and essentially includes a drainage basin for 314 miles of the Mississippi River from Guttenburg, Iowa, downstream to Saverton, Missouri, and 268 miles of the Illinois Waterway from Lake Street on the Chicago Sanitary Ship Canal and 130th Street on the Cal-Sag Channel to Mile 80 on the Illinois River and tributaries thereto within the boundaries of the Rock Island District.
