The library collection includes books, subscriptions, state and federal documents, and electronic resources. The focus of the collection is on civil engineering; environmental materials, chiefly river systems, and water resources. Although the collection is primarily for Corps of Engineers employees, it is available to outside users by appointment or through interlibrary loan with your local library.
The library is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., except federal holidays for St. Paul District employees.
Non-Corps employees should call 651-290-5680 to make an appointment.
Materials can be checked out by St. Paul District staff for six weeks, or on long-term loan for certain materials, and four weeks for all other users. Materials can be renewed if no one else has requested them. The Annual Reports of the Corps of Engineers are non-circulating.

Copyright Restrictions:
The copyright law of the United States (title 17, United States code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship or research."
If a user makes a photocopy for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This library reserves the right to refuse a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve a violation of copyright law.
