The Small Business Office is managed by the Deputy for Small Business. The Deputy serves as an advocate for the Small and Disadvantaged Business Program by ensuring that small businesses receive the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in and receive their fair share of contract dollars awarded by the Louisville District. The Small Business Program is promoted by actively seeking opportunities to reserve requirements under federal guidelines for small business, Women Owned, 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone Empowerment (HubZone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned and Historical Black Colleges and Universities, and Minority Institutions.
