IT Services

The Office of the Command Information Officer (N6) delivers common, business and operational IT services as part of the overall IT service activity. N6 provides advice on all matters that are IT-related and enables the business and operational functions of CNIC by providing strategic and tactical support to leverage information technology to accomplish the CNIC mission and provide better ways to receive, process, visualize, distribute and leverage existing data and collectively position CNIC for the role of Shore Force integrator. Responsibility for delivery of IT services is spread across branches as follows:

N6C – Network and System Security Operations
The Network and System Security Operations branch provides cybersecurity operations and architecture support of all CNIC managed network and Information Systems (ISs), Platform Information Technology (PIT) and Control Systems and the operations of enterprise cybersecurity infrastructure to ensure CNIC readiness for mission support. 

N61 – Control, Communications and Protection (C3P) Ashore
C3P Ashore provides IT solutions and support services to (but not limited to) global network transport (PSNet), enterprise systems and program management support.  Services include technical, analytical and equipment procurement/installation in support of the mission-critical CNIC programs including: Enterprise Land Mobile Radio (ELMR); Navy Emergency Response Management System (NERMS); Port Operations Management (POMS); Navy Access Control Management System (NACMS); Automated Vehicle Gates (AVG); Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI); Industrial Control Systems (ICS).

N62 – Enterprise/Infrastructure Services (EIS)
N62 maintains, configures, and modernizes Total Workforce Management Services (TWMS), Public Website Content Management, CNIC Enterprise Service Center (CESC) Infrastructure Management, and Enabler Entry Control Point system within Department of Navy Information Assurance policies and guidelines.  N62 manages and facilitates Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to create the CNIC enterprise baseline, standardize and optimize business process outputs and metrics, and push robust service delivery across the regions and installations.  EIS partners with internal command lines of business in configuring and enhancing the business and operational capabilities on the CNIC SharePoint portal (G2) in order to improve mission effectiveness, business operations, transparency, and data analytics in support of core CNIC Mission Objectives.

N63 – Enterprise Information Management (EIM)
N63 provides IT portfolio management and enterprise architecture services to the enterprise. 

N64 – Information Assurance/Security Services (IA)
N64 maintains the Information Assurance (IA) program throughout CNIC thereby ensuring all our applications and excepted networks were secured and compliant with applicable executive, federal, DoD, DON, and CNIC regulations related to IA/Cyber Security.  N64 ensures all CNIC users are properly trained and aware of their role as related to cyber defense. 

N65 – Managed IT Services
N65 oversees CNIC's NGEN/ONE-Net Program, Telephony Services including all Reserve Navy Operational Support Center (NOSCs), Wireless Device Program, Multi-Functional Devices, and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Services.  Also serves as the Navy's Program Office for the Common Access Card (CAC).
