U.S. Northern Command: Civilian Employment Information
All USNORTHCOM civilian positions are advertised through theOffice of Personnel Management (OPM) USAJOBS. You can check vacancy listings at http://www.usajobs.gov. You must submit your resume through the USAJOBS system and then self-nominate for a position.

How to do business with U.S. Northern Command
The headquarters of NORAD and USNORTHCOM conducts business on a competitive basis with firms that can supply the products and services to enhance the commands' ability to meet mission needs. As a tenant of Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., NORAD and USNORTHCOM primarily use the 21st Contracting Squadron as their buying activity.
Step 1. Register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http://www.ccr.gov
Vendors should register in the U.S. federal government’s Central Contractor Registration (CCR). A Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS®) number, provided by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), is necessary to complete the CCR process. Vendors who do not currently have a DUNS® number may obtain one by contacting the self-request line at 866-705-5711. The process time to request a free DUNS® number is about 5-10 minutes.
Step 2. Find Opportunities
Vendors should seek opportunities that match their services or products. The following resources are available to assist in searching for contracting opportunities.
Federal Business Opportunities http://www.eps.gov/
FedBizOpps is the single government point-of-entry (GPE) for federal government procurement opportunities over the $25,000 threshold. Government buyers publicize business opportunities by posting information directly to FedBizOpps. Commercial vendors seeking federal markets for their products and services are able to search, monitor and retrieve opportunities solicited by the entire federal contracting community at this website.

Step 3. Small Business Assistance
Small businesses or minority institutions that are new to the government contracting process may find it prudent to obtain assistance from the Small Business Administration. Resources available for guidance and help can be found at www.sba.gov.
