Awards
Every year, the MDA honors individuals and teams whose efforts have helped make missile defense a reality. Each year, there is one recipient of the Ronald Reagan Missile Defense Award, and multiple recipients of the Technology Pioneer Award.
Ronald Reagan Missile Defense Award
Since 2003, the Ronald Reagan Missile Defense Award has been an annual honor awarded to individuals or organizations to recognize outstanding support, innovation, and engineering or scientific achievement associated with technologies designed to defend against ballistic missile attack.
2016 Recipient: James N. Miller
Technology Achievement Award
Established in 2010, the Technology Achievement Award honors individuals or small teams who have made significant achievements with technology that has, in turn, advanced the development and deployment of the current and future elements of the U.S. Ballistic Missile Defense System.
2014 Recipients:
Pre-Mission Debris Modeling and Analysis and the Aegis Ashore Design Team.
Technology Pioneer Award
Awarded from 2006 to 2009, the Technology Pioneer Award honored individuals or small teams who made significant contributions to the advancement of technology that, in turn, enabled the development and deployment of the current and future elements of the U.S. Ballistic Missile Defense System.
