Mission
To provide independent and objective legal counsel and advice to the DoD Inspector General and the Office of Inspector General (OIG).
Ethics Program
As the Designated Agency Ethics Official (DAEO), the General Counsel is the senior ethics official in the OIG. The OIG Ethics Program is managed by the Office of General Counsel (OGC).
OGC Teams
The OGC is composed of the General Counsel, the Deputy General Counsel, Associate General Counsels, a Legal Intern, and Administrative Support Specialists. The Associate General Counsels and Administrative Support Specialists are assigned to the following teams:

- Criminal Law
- Intelligence Law
- Special Plans & Operations Law
- Employment Law & Ethics Law
