Natural Resources Contract

What is it?

The Natural Resources contract is for purchasing services for management of threatened and endangered species, wetlands and riparian areas, habitat, soil and erosion control, forestry and reimbursable agriculture activities, and wildlife management.

What has the Army done?

The Army has provided a multi-award contract vehicle that can provide products such as surveys and inventories, habitat management, restoration, and mitigation, training, program improvement, and compliance review.

What does the Army have planned?

There are three different levels of support that the Army has planned to provide. The first is full support from USAEC, in which staff from USAEC takes the lead role in developing the contract package documents, acts as the Contracting Officer Representative, provides technical support, and closes out the contact package upon completion of work. The second is with the USAEC in an advisory role to the installation. In this case, USAEC would assist with the package creation, review deliverables, and when requested provide technical advice or attend meetings. The third and final level of support is with the installation working directly with the contracting agency.

Why is this important?

USAEC's MATOCs provide an acquisition alternative for acquiring performance based services to enhance traditional acquisition approaches and promote cost/performance efficiencies and considerations for environmental requirements throughout the Installation Management Command (IMCOM).

USAEC is committed to helping Army installations meet their environmental requirements.
