Combined Federal Campaign Kicks Off its 50th Anniversary

Published, September 7, 2011

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign with more than 200 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally, helping to raise millions of dollars each year.

Pledges made by federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season, September 1st through December 15th, support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world. The CFC database contains more than 4,000 approved charities in every interest area. These charities are listed in the "Catalog of Caring" available on the CFC website.

The CFC's mission is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. The 2010 National Capitol Region CFC raised $67 million.

The Department of the Navy Chief Information Officer is the campaign manager for the civilians and military personnel that make up the Navy Secretariat organizations.

Each command should have a CFC coordinator. If you are not sure who that is, please submit this question to the "Contact Us" section of the DON CIO website.
