Content Manager:
Content Managers provide customers with an easily discoverable and accessible presentation of NGA's analytic intelligence and services. They collaborate with internal and external content producers to identify, define, and apply data quality and retention requirements for GEOINT content, and ensure compliance by reviewing that content is current, accurate, appropriately tagged, service-enabled, and included in the overall data dictionary. DISES/DISL Vacancies
Executive Resources at NGA include members of the Defense Intelligence Senior Executive Service (DISES) and Defense Intelligence Senior Level (DISL) employees. NGA DISES positions are managerial positions, allocated to NGA by the Department of Defense (DOD), which are classified above the Band 5/GS-15 level. DISES positions are characterized by emphasis on organization or program management responsibilities. DISES positions are the DOD Intelligence Community equivalent to SES positions. NGA DISL positions are technical or scientific positions, allocated to NGA by DOD, which are classified above the Band 5/GS-15 levels. DISL positions are characterized by emphasis on functional expertise and have no more than minimal supervisory responsibilities (less than 25 percent). DISLs are recognized leaders and authorities in a specialized field or functional area. DISL positions are the DOD Intelligence Community equivalent to SL positions.

General Information & Notices

NGA positions are in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1601 appointment authority. NGA is both a combat support agency and a member of the Intelligence Community. All candidates must be U.S. citizens and must be eligible for a Top Secret security clearance. Some positions may be subject to a polygraph examination and/or medical examination. All applicants tentatively selected for an NGA position will be required to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Employees are required to sign an agreement not to disclose, in any fashion, classified information to unauthorized persons. Participation of civilian employees in the DOD Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer of Pay Program is also required.

NGA employees and Affiliates assigned to NGA are required to update their resumes and indicate their self-nomination for job opening announcements using internal processes. Do not use the eRecruit process if you are already an employee or assigned to NGA.

Notice to Federal Annuitants

Federal law requires that any former federal employee who has retired under the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) or the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and is reemployed in the Department of Defense is entitled to full pay and full annuity. Such annuitants must, however, meet the employment criteria specified by DOD Policy Memorandum, Employment of Annuitants, March 18, 2004 (as amended). If you are receiving an annuity of any kind from the Civil Service Retirement and Disability Fund, you may not be eligible for employment with NGA, unless the criteria apply in your case.
