The U.S. Army Civil Affairs & Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) is a two-star headquarters providing Army and Joint Forces commanders 82 percent of the DoD civil affairs forces and 83 percent of the DoD’s psychological operations forces. Civil Affairs, Psychological Operations, and Information Operations Soldiers combine regional and trans-regional expertise, political-military awareness and cross-cultural communication skills to conduct and support civil-military operations for conventional and special operations forces.

USACAPOC (A) Soldiers are integrated in current global U.S. operations including Iraq, Afghanistan, Horn of Africa,European, Pacific and Central/South American regions. USACAPOC (A) provides airborne oversight for USARC and is the only strategic CA structure in DoD.

It supports the Army and Joint Force with strategic, operational, and tactical level civil affairs operations, psychological operations, and information operations capabilities.

USACAPOC (A) provides a cost effective solution and enables the supported Commander expanded freedom of maneuver in both Combined Arms Maneuver and Wide Area Security missions across the Range of Military Operations. USACAPOC (A) CA, PSYOP and IO forces support Army formations in conventional operations, Irregular Warfare,Theater Security Cooperation, and Stability Operations in support of Geographic Combatant Command requirements.

September 23, 2016 - Soldiers of the 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion conducted civil affairs operations during exercise Combined Resolve VII in Hohenfels, Germany, Sept. 4 to Sept. 15, 2016. The 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion was one of several Army units that trained for readiness alongside multinational partners.
September 16, 2016 - The village of Guba is bustling. Local shop owners yell in foreign dialects hawking their wares from stalls that display colorful rugs and clothing. Women huddle together to whisper and steal glances underneath hijabs of the U.S. Army Soldiers meeting with the local police chief and village elder. Older villagers casually lounge while smoking in chairs trying to avoid the harsh midday sun.
April 18, 2016 - U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers from the 301st Information Operations Battalion’s field support teams (FTS) conducted a unique three-day exercise at the Dekalb U.S. Army Reserve Center at Fort Meade to validate core IO competencies.
April 18, 2016 - Army mixed martial arts and hand to hand combat is something all Soldiers learn, and retrain on constantly. These are skills that can be the difference between life and death in certain situations overseas. The problem is that most Soldiers don’t get this training that often, and become rusty on the techniques.
April 11, 2016 - So few are willing to pay the price to become it. They all want it. But there can be only one noncommissioned officer and one enlisted 2016 U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command Best Warrior. Twenty-one came here to claim the title of best warrior.
